Welcome back to school Year 3!
What a fantastic first week of fun filled learning we have had. All of the children have been amazing and we are so proud of how easily they have adapted to the rules and routines of Year 3.
In Literacy, we have introduced our first story; A Tale of Two Robots, and the children have had a great time inventing different skills for their robots! They have used adjectives to describe and extended this to writing simple sentences before moving on to short paragraphs.
In Maths, the children have begun their new topic based on place value. They have explored partitioning using concrete objects and part whole models, as well as completing their tasks.
We experimented with our Scientific skills this week, and began by classifying different seeds before planting them. The children worked collaboratively to decide which element they would omit from their seeds to observe their findings. Hopefully by next week, we will see some things beginning to grow!
