This week, our young learners stepped into the shoes of future lifesavers as they took part in a medical first aid programme for children– a fun and educational experience designed to teach children essential life-saving skills.
The session had practical learning as the children discovered how to stay calm in an emergency, how to safely administer first aid, and most importantly, how to perform CPR. Guided by experienced trainers, they practised chest compressions on mannequins and learnt how to respond quickly and effectively if someone becomes unresponsive.
Another vital skill they explored was how to recognise and help someone who is choking – a potentially life-threatening situation where every second counts. Through engaging demonstrations and hands-on activities, the children gained confidence in spotting the signs of choking and delivering the appropriate help.
The first aid programme not only equips children with practical skills, but also empowers them with the confidence to act when it matters most. We're incredibly proud of how enthusiastically they took part.
