Bonjour Year 4!

Last week, Year 4 were extremely lucky to welcome a French acting company into school.

The actors did not speak English to the children so it was a great test of their resilience and basic French knowledge learnt at Broadford.

The children had to build a TV show with the actors all in French. The children became part of the show and practiced some French with support from the actors.

There were lots of laughs to be had and the children gave us great reviews afterwards!

Fabulous French!

In French this week, the children began their lesson by reactivatng their knowledge of numbers from 1-31. The children demonstrated great reciprocity when they were stuck or could not remember how to say the numbers in French by encouraging and supporting one another.

The children then moved to learning the days of the week. They took it in turns to say the days of week in order, using my turn your turn and then had to answer questions about the different days. The children showed resilience and resourcefulness when working together for the task of ordering the days of the week.

Onyeka-' I love learning through a song.'

Alexandra - 'I enjoyed when we were singing the days of the week altogether.'

Harry - 'Monday is the easiest day to remember.'
