In Literacy and Language this term Birch class have been focusing on a story called, 'Sugarcane Juice'. In this unit the children took on the role of bringing the story to life. Part of this involved creating a movie trailer based on the story to encourage other people to come and see the film. Below is the trailer they have created, enjoy!

is part of the Free the Children charity, ‘We Scare Hunger’ campaign. Millions
of people around the world go hungry every day, even in the UK. Together, we
can help feed people in need, build a stronger neighbourhood and stop hunger
before it strikes.
As
it takes a real hero to stand up to hunger next Thursday we are asking all
pupils to come to school dressed as their favourite superhero and bring in an
item of long life food from the following list;
Milk (UHT or
powdered)
Sugar (500g)
Fruit juice (carton)
Soup
Pasta sauces
Sponge pudding (tinned)
Tomatoes (tinned)
Cereals
Rice pudding
(tinned0
Tea bags / Instant coffee
Instant mash potato
Tinned meat / fish
Tinned fruit
Jam
Biscuits
or snack bars
There
will be prizes for best costume and for the class who donate the most food.

an eye on the blog for more information and updates about the campaign.
