Martin really impressed with his use of openers to help the reader to know where and when each part of the story is taking place. He has also tried hard to incorporate as much descriptive vocabulary and as many techniques as he could. Well done Martin!

Ash Class Star Writer
The star writer in Ash class this week is Martin Wicher. We were creating a story about a young boy in the East end of London in the late 1940s. He dreams of being a West Ham goalkeeper and loves to play football in the bombed-out streets with his friends and his dog Derek. One day they move to a new estate in the countryside to the East (I can't imagine which one!) but when they get to their new home, it turns out Derek the dog is missing!
