A letter went out today to alert parents that the trip to Greenwich for the Thames river cruise has changed to Friday March 10th. The 7th of March is therefore now a normal school day. We would like to apologise for any confusion caused. Please find the letter sent out today in electronic form below:
Change of date for Y4 Thames City River Cruise Trip

Dear Parents,
As you may be aware, Year 4’s current topic is “where would you choose to build a city?” As part of this topic, the children will be taking a river trip up the Thames from Greenwich Pier to Westminster and back again.
We would like to alert parents that the date for this trip has changed to Friday 10th March.
We will be travelling with the children via public transport to Cutty Sark DLR station and walking from there to Greenwich Pier. The children must arrive at school promptly at 8:30 as we will be leaving at 8:45 and cannot guarantee that children who are late will be able to join us. The children must wear school uniform, including a jumper and warm/waterproof coat.
They need to bring a packed lunch in a named disposable bag. This should not include fizzy drinks or glass bottles. After the return trip to Greenwich, we will begin the journey back to school at 2:00pm. We are aiming to arrive back at school at 3:45pm. The children will need to be collected from outside their classrooms as normal. Should we get delayed on the return journey we will contact the school office and inform them of our new time of arrival.
We are asking for a contribution of £10 which will go towards the cost of the river cruise. Please sign the permission slip and return it to your child’s class teacher with your child’s name and class. Please indicate on the form if your child will require a school packed lunch. We would welcome parent helpers on this trip as 2 additional adults per class will be required.
