Well done Year 3
It's been another wonderful week in Year 3 and the children have been working hard to make progress in their learning.
In Literacy, the children have been learning about the features of a newspaper and have used this knowledge to plan and write their own articles. The articles were based around the King and his decision to ban the dark. Well done Year 3!
In Maths, the children completed their end of unit test for addition and subtraction and moved on to their new unit of multiplication and division. The children had lots of fun using their whiteboards and counters to create equal groups before using their times table knowledge to help them answer some questions. Great work everybody!

Christmas Cards for the Community
As part of the children's experiences at Broadford, we have had a busy afternoon in Year 3, designing and creating Christmas cards for the community. This year, we have chosen to send the Christmas cards to the lovely residents of a local care home, who will be receiving them early next week.
The children were very excited to make their cards and send them to the care home, they have used their resourcefulness skills to ensure that they have included colourful, cheerful designs and they worked exceptionally hard on their handwriting and spellings. They also spent time creating beautiful designs on the envelopes to add an extra sparkle for the recipients!
