Team work in Year 3

During a PSHE lesson the children in Year 3 demonstrated super reciprocity. They were asked to complete puzzles in a group, but in complete silence with no hand signals.

Madalina said “I just had to tell myself over and over not to talk, but in my head.” Hannah said “I didn’t have my own puzzle so I helped others with theirs.”

We will be continuing our PSHE topic on Getting On and Falling Out throughout this Spring term.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to inform you about an upcoming trip to The Natural History Museum in London on Tuesday 28th January. We will be leaving school promptly at 9 am and aim to return to school by 3 pm. We will be travelling by public transport. Therefore there will be no cost for the trip.

The children will be required to wear school uniform for the trip along with suitable footwear comfortable for walking. Furthermore, please ensure your child has a suitable coat.

Please ensure all permission forms are completed by Friday 17th January so that packed lunches can be ordered.

Art in Year 3

We have started an exciting new topic in Art this week.  This whole unit of work will involve painting.  The children kicked off the unit by recapping their understanding of colour mixing and the terms primary and secondary colours.

The children had great fun investigating which colours they could make by mixing various colours. Abdulmalik said ‘you can’t make primary colours, but you can mix them to make secondary ones’.

Year 4 Certificates 10/01/20

Birch

Lily-Ann received the resilience award this week for concentration well in class and trying her very best to answer questions during class room discussions.

Ash
This week, Ash have achieved some excellent work and have been kind to each other in the class. I have also seen an improvement in reciprocity skills across the board! I am so excited to continue the rest of Spring Term on such a high note!

These children were awarded with 100% Attendance for Autumn Term. Well done for not missing a single day!

These children won the 4R awards. Amazing job!
