This week, Rowan class have been using the Wii in their Literacy lessons to help produce different styles of writing. After having their 'dive' they then have been working in their dive teams to produce diary recounts, narratives, information texts and persuasive writing, as well as brushing up on their note taking skills. We have found using games in the classroom enhances their engagement and involvement in the lesson and improves their quality of writing. Plus, it's fun!
Here are some of our dive teams at work:
"I have found Literacy fun and exciting this week because we get to play the Wii and get to do each activity." Daisy Paius
"I have really enjoyed Literacy this week and I really enjoy playing games in lesson itmakes it fun". Saffron Lubin
"I have found Literacy fun this week!" Jack Barnett
