Vinnie's Amazing Habitat Diorama!

Vinnie was so excited to learn all about habitats, he made a habitat diorama at home to show some animals that live in snowy habitats. Polar bears are found in Arctic regions such as Northern Canada. Penguins are found in Antarctic regions, the Emperor penguin is the biggest penguin. When the mother lays the egg, the father holds the egg to keep it warm and safe.

Ella's At Home Challenge

Ella got stuck trying to create a reflection on a line of symmetry in maths. She challenged herself to create a reflective pattern at home using buttons. Well done Ella!

Digital Summer Camp!

Miss Fox and the Digital Leaders had an amazing time Friday at the Digital Summer Camp!

They took part in workshops and activities and learned how to program computers, build games, print in 3D and even make a piano out of bananas!

They are now very inspired and eager to show the rest of the school the new brilliant technology that can help us learn next year.

Watch this space!

Ash Makes Rangoli Patterns

We have been learning all about Hinduism in Ash class. We have been reading Hindu stories, learning about the 10 Avatars of Vishnu and Rangoli patterns. Rangoli patterns are a colourful design made on the floor near the entrance to a house to welcome guests. At Diwali, Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns to encourage the goddess Lakshimi to enter their homes.
We noticed that Rangoli patterns are symmetrical, and since we have been learning about symmetry in Maths, we decided to create colourful Rangoli patterns to practice symmetry. Some of us even had he chance to draw our Rangoli patterns outside using colourful chalk. Here are some photos of our Rangoli patterns.
