Ash Makes Rangoli Patterns

We have been learning all about Hinduism in Ash class. We have been reading Hindu stories, learning about the 10 Avatars of Vishnu and Rangoli patterns. Rangoli patterns are a colourful design made on the floor near the entrance to a house to welcome guests. At Diwali, Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns to encourage the goddess Lakshimi to enter their homes.
We noticed that Rangoli patterns are symmetrical, and since we have been learning about symmetry in Maths, we decided to create colourful Rangoli patterns to practice symmetry. Some of us even had he chance to draw our Rangoli patterns outside using colourful chalk. Here are some photos of our Rangoli patterns.
