This month, Year 4 had been actively engaging in the schools activities for Black History Month 2024. They had learned about a variety of people such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King. We also discussed the Bristol Bur Boycott (in the UK) as well as the Civil Rights Movement (in the USA).We had taken part in a whole school dance, Art and Literacy project.
Year 4 got to create an art image, around Bessie Coleman and choose a written project in Literacy (either a poem, poster or speech) based on Martin Luther King’s ‘I have a dream’ speech - we all enjoyed this freedom and creativity.
