Joshua - ' I enjoy DT and I have learnt a lot like how to sew different materials.'
This week, the children were developing new skills in DT and finished sewing their purses and wallets together. For this, the children used a running stitch and were able to successfully join the two ends of their felt squares together. It was impressive to see how resilient the children were when making errors and how quickly they resolved these issues with the help of their peers.
Onyeka - ' I enjoyed sewing but I found parts of it difficult. My friend helped me and my wallet looks amazing.'
The children took their time and ensured they were working safely. Those that finished quickly were then able to support their peers, demonstrating their reciprocity skills in the process. Well done Year 3, we enjoyed seeing your super sewing this week!
Mikail - ' It was tricky to do the running stitch.'
