Readers' Theatre is a reading activity which involves reading a script aloud in a small group. This week in Year 3, the children have taken a script from their class novel - You are a Bad Man Mr Gum! The pupils worked in small groups to take turns to speak. They have applied their reciprocity skills to work alongside others and their resourcefulness skills to act imaginatively.
During this session, the children were concentrating on maintaining eye contact with their audience and displaying confidence when reading aloud.
The Year 3 staff have been blown away by the children's speaking skills, a huge well done to all of the children.
"We work as a team to rehearse the script. doing it with my friends makes it more fun!" - Hayden, Cherry.
"When reading you have to change your tone to make it interesting for the listeners." - Ayra , Ash.
"I love readers theatre because we get to use our story voices." - Ronnie, Cedar.
