Year 3 had an amazing time celebrating Culture and Religion Day. The children dressed in an array of colourful outfits representing their individual nationalities, cultures, and religions.
As part of the day's activities, they learnt about the Christian Easter story, discovered fun facts about India, and finished the lesson by creating beautiful Rangoli patterns.
The children were also fortunate to have a parent of Pakistani descent visit to teach them some sentences in Urdu. Moreover, a group of Romanian parents gave a wonderful presentation about Romanian traditions, customs and festivals. Another highlight was the beautiful music the children were treated to, along with the accompanying dance steps they were taught. Finally, the children enjoyed delicious Romanian snacks and even had some to take home!
Overall, it was a truly magical moment to see our diverse school community come together to celebrate our differences in such a wonderful way.
