Cancelled trip

Unfortunately, due to bad weather we had to make the decision to cancel Willow's picnic in the park! Instead the children had hands on experience in the school sandpit, imagining they were on the beach. They then used this to develop lots of descriptive words and phrases, ready for writing!

However, we still managed to have our picnic! We moved it indoors and sat together on the floor in Rowan. We had a lovely time. 

After lunch we played games to get to know each other and develop our team building skills.

So even though we didn't get to the park today, we feel like we've bonded as a class!

We will be having a trip to the park with the other year 3 classes in a few weeks time!
