World War 2 evacuation talk

On Thursday afternoon the year 3 children were exceptionally privileged to hear the account of Mr Cook (Miss Cook's grandad!), who was evacuated to the Suffolk countryside during the war. The children had thought of lots of questions to ask about the upheaval Mr Cook experienced during this time. History really came to life for the children as they realised Mr Cook was the same age as them when he was taken from his father and mother in wartime Romford.
