Ash class had a fantastic time on their navigation trip last week. The children had spent many weeks prior planning their routes using google maps and the London underground tube map to work out exactly which landmarks they wanted to see and the most sensible journey to take.
They even researched where they would be able to go to the toilet and calculated the times spent at different locations to ensure they could fit it all in.
Between them, they managed to see:
Buckingham palace (including changing of the guard)
Hyde park (including the Princess Diana memorial fountain)
St. James' park
The Gherkin
The Shard
Tower bridge
The Tower of London
The millennium bridge
The London eye
Marble arch
Westminster bridge
City hall
A successful (and very tiring) day all round!
Well done children - your map work and reciprocity skills really shone throughout the day which you should be very proud of!
