Year 3 become plant investigators!
In today’s Science lesson the Year 3’s refreshed their knowledge about the parts of the plants by labeling a real flower. They worked in groups demonstrating reciprocity and drawing on prior knowledge about plants reminded one another that there is a leaf, stem, flower and root by using a diagram. Ryan said "Plants get nutrients from the ground".
They then moved on to find out what the functions of each of these parts are. Each group prepared a presentation to show to the rest of the class what they had learnt.
