In Maths, they have been looking at equivalent fractions, using both pictorial and concrete methods to aid their learning and ended the week with a fraction test to consolidate their learning.
In Literacy, they started their new unit of ‘Poetry’. The children looked at different poems and performed them to the class. They then went on to write their own poem using alliteration, rhyme and onomatopoeia.
The children were very lucky and went on a school trip this week, which linked to their geography unit. The children used a map and went on a walk around the local area, looking for both the physical and human features of Harold Hill. Every child showed super resilience and reciprocity while out on their trip.
