Year 6 Are Spectacular Scientists

This half term, Year 6 have been studying the topic 'Light' and have built upon all of their prior knowledge about how light travels. As a team, we have been particularly impressed with their ability to use appropriate and technical scientific vocabulary throughout each lesson.

For each new aspect of their learning, the pupils have been conducting experiments to test if their hypothesis (predictions) have been correct. They have been able to articulate themselves well when explaining if their results are supportive of their hypothesis or not. We have also focussed on ensuring our experiments are fair tests and are able to explain how we know they are fair.
