Reading to our Local Residents

Earlier this week, a small group of  Year 4 children took a special trip to the local care home to share their love of reading. After arriving at school full of excitement, each child carefully selected a book they were proud to read. Walking together to the care home, the children were warmly introduced to some of the residents before settling in to read aloud. For twenty minutes, the room was filled with stories, characters, and quiet connection as the children brought their books to life. After a round of heartfelt goodbyes, the group returned to school, inspired by the joy that reading can bring to all ages.
