Last week, year 3 braved the bus, the train, and the tube to arrive at the V&A Museum of Childhood. The children were treated to a workshop lead by Madeleine, an expert in historic clothes, who told us fascinating facts about unusual clothing. Some very lucky volunteers even displayed clothes to their classes!
The rest of the time was spent exploring the numerous interactive toys, games, and displays. The only complaint seemed to be that we had to leave!
This is definitely a place we would recommend that you could take the children to again. The museum is free and very easy to get to, just two stops on the central line from Statford.
As well as the displays, there were lots of relevant artifacts and toys for the children to look at based on our new topic of childhood during the second World War. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and many children agreed that it was their favourite trip of year 3!
Thank you very much to all our parent volunteers who gave a much-appreciated helping hand!
