Elm Class - MOD Pizza

Wow, Elm Class had a great time at MOD Pizza Restaurant today. The children were intrigued to find out what MOD actually stands for...ask them while its fresh in their minds. The team at MOD made us feel really welcome.  Linking into out science topic and healthy eating the children had a tour of the kitchens behind the scenes and they got to explore the enormous walk in fridges and freezers (which they found very exciting!). We also had a close look at the stone bake oven and finally and most importantly after some hygiene guidance we all got the opportunity to make our own pizzas, which were amazing.  I'm sure the children would love to make homemade pizzas with you at home, please click this link for a recipe to do so. MOD Pizza chain encourage diversity and have a strong ethos regarding looking after there staff, they believe if their staff are happy then the customers will be happy. There is an amazing mural of photos on a large wall celebrating the diversity of their staff, they encourage people to be different!

Furthermore the children should have all came home with an empty pizza box and if you take it back there they can get another free pizza. Win, win situation!
Kezia said "That's the best trip I've ever been on!"
