Year 3 master a playscript

In today’s English lesson, the Year 3 children were thinking about positive and negative feelings. We were introduced to six different words that we needed to know when studying the playscript ‘A Tune of Lies’ and their definitions. The children then got into groups to read the play aloud, using expression and the stage directions to help them, this is when it became evident that some groups of children were demonstrating reciprocity as they supported each other when reading the script.   Afterwards, we talked about how the four characters felt at different times in the day and used post-it notes to record these. Iniya explained "We need stage directions so that we know what to do when we read our lines."
