In their Literacy lessons this week, Year 3 took on the role of the King to write a persuasive speech, convincing the people of the land that they should ban the dark!
They began the week, acting out how they would address their audience as the King. They had to consider the tone that would be using before being placed in the hot seat and speaking from the perspective of the King.
Once they had an understanding of how the King was feeling and why he wanted to ban the dark, they began to plan their speeches.
By the end of the week, the children had started the writing process, using paragraphs, emotive language and rhetorical questions.
They certainly had the Year 3 team convinced with their fabulous use of vocabulary! Well done Year 3 we are all very proud of your independent writing.
