It’s been another fantastic week and year 3 have been working hard!
In Maths, they have been adding and subtracting numbers across a ten and have then built upon this knowledge to add and subtract numbers across a hundred. The year 3 teachers have been very impressed with the children’s efforts and it’s been a joy to watch them make progress in their learning.
In Literacy, the children have been continuing to read ‘The King Who Banned the Dark’, and have been planning a letter which aims to explain to the King why he should not be afraid of the dark. The children prepared for this writing task by participating in a hot seating activity where they shared ways in which King could overcome his fear of the dark.
This week, the children had a wonderful time visiting Vue Cinema in Romford, it was lovely to see the children so engaged and they were all outstanding ambassadors for Broadford. Excellent effort this week Year 3, Well done!
