Year 3 certificates.

Well done to all of the children in year 3 this week! They have worked incredibly hard.

In Maths, the children have continued with the column method. The children used counters and place value charts to support with exchanging and regrouping. They have worked very hard and been able to show off their fantastic knowledge of the column method.

In Literacy, The children have been considering the kings point of view .They have discussed techniques for persuasive writing and been encouraged to used pronouns such as 'you' and 'I'. This has all supported pupils in planning and writing their very own persuasive speech.

This week we have also celebrated anti-bullying week! The children have read and signed contracts, promising their contribution to preventing bullying in our school and decorated odd socks to celebrate our differences.

Finally, We celebrated Children in Need this week. The children have celebrated in a variety of ways, from Pudsey based activities, to dressing up in spots and yellow! They have had a fantastic fun-filled day and showed incredible support for an amazing cause.
Well done year 3.
