It’s been a fantastic week back at school and Year 3 have worked extremely hard.
In Maths, they have been developing their understanding of adding and subtracting numbers using the column method. The children have been following their steps to success and have used repetition to embed this new knowledge so that they can confidently complete the equations. They have all reflected on their work and have worked hard to ensure the correct layout when using the column method.
Well done Year 3!
In Literacy, they have started reading their new book for this half term called ‘The King Who Banned the Dark.’ As part of this, the children have used their inference skills to explain what they think the story is about and have then thoughtfully produced questions of their own which they would like to be answered. The children have then summarised the key events of the story in their books.
The children have also been learning about colours in French, très bien Year 3!
