Year 3 Topic - The Iron Age

During this week, the Year 3 classes delved into the historical occupations of the Iron Age. The children showed avid curiosity as they explored the intricacies of livelihoods such as farming, metal work, and pottery, and engaged in discussions regarding the societal significance of these roles in the era.

Using their collaborative skills, the children embarked on drama based activities, portraying the actions and responsibilities associated with each vocation.

Subsequently, the pupils demonstrated their Reflectiveness skills by performing their enacted scenarios in front of their peers, showcasing not only their grasp of historical concepts but also their confidence and resilience.

'It was interesting to learn about the different jobs,' - Adam, Cedar Class 


'If I worked in the Iron Age, I would want to be a farmer because they had the most important job and earnt the most money,' - Nyasa, Cherry Class

'I enjoy History lessons where we get to act,' - Zariyah, Ash Class
