This week, Year 3 explored the life and legacy of the famous French artist, Henri Matisse. Inspired by his later works, the children practised ‘painting with scissors’ by cutting shapes directly from vibrant paper. By layering these organic and geometric forms, they produced a series of masterful collages that celebrate Matisse’s famous ‘cut-out’ style.
