Last week , Muslim worshippers around the world celebrated the festival of Eid al-Fitr, commonly known as Eid, to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan. As part of our Eid activities, children in year 4 decorated a candles by painting patterns and designs. Soem children completed a Eid puzzle, designed prayer mats and made Eid lanterns.
"Eid sounds very special and sounds like a lot of fun. I am so happy to be celebrating Eid at school", Rebeca, Larch.
"Wow. Eid music is amazing. I loved listening to Eid songs today", Ife, Ash.
"I really enjoyed decorating the candles today. I think it is a pretty decoration to have around the house", Ruby W, Birch.
It was lovely to see the children in their bright colours enjoying the activity and learning more about why Eid is such a special festival for Muslims.
