Welcome to Year 3

 

Welcome back to school Year 3!

What a fantastic first week of fun filled learning we have had!  All of the children have been amazing and the teachers are so proud of how easily they have adapted to the rules and routines of Year 3.

In Literacy, we have introduced our first story; A Tale of Two Robots, and the children have had a great time inventing different skills for their robots! They have used adjectives to describe and extended this to writing simple sentences before moving on to short paragraphs.

In Maths, the children have begun their new topic based on place value. They have explored partitioning using concrete objects and part whole models, as well as completing their tasks.

We put our creative skills to the test in DT this week, by using all kinds of junk modelling to design, create and build our very own robots!
