It’s been another
great week in Year 3.
This week in Maths, we have focused on reinforcing the
understanding of multiplying a two-digit number by a single-digit number.
Through various activities and practical exercises, the children have worked
towards embedding this concept. Additionally, we have delved into the
inverse operation division, where Year 3 used flexible partitioning to divide a
two-digit number by a one-digit number. These lessons have provided valuable
opportunities for the children to strengthen their skills in both
multiplication and division.
In Literacy, Year 3 have embarked upon the study of diary
entries. Through our lessons, they have become familiar with the essential
elements of a diary entry and recognised the necessary components for crafting
a successful one. The children have diligently devised plans to support their
writing, followed by self-assessment and evaluation of their work through
editing and reflection, ensuring their writing reaches its full potential.
A round of applause for this week’s certificate
winners!
