There's Been a Murder!

At the beginning of the half term, Year 3 had a fantastic opportunity to delve into the mysterious world of murder mysteries through drama and performing arts.

The children were very fortunate to have the fantastic team from Divergent Drama to lead them in their journey to create outstanding performances.

Both classes were all really enthusiastic throughout and learnt a lot about why action and expressions are so important as well as how to structure an effective mystery story.

The children will now be using this experience to help and support them in writing their very own mystery stories in the coming weeks.

"I absolutely loved the way we could use our bodies and facial expressions to create a mystery scene in freeze frames." Bonnie - Hazel Class.

"I am really looking forward to writing a mystery story now - I found it really interesting and fun that we could keep the audience guessing for the whole of our play!" Archie  - Sequoia Class

"I can't believe everyone accused me of committing the murder!" Naz - Sequoia Class (Still in character)
