Ash class investigate 'Sour sweets'

Today in Science, we worked in groups to investigate the PH scale of sour sweets. Students first recapped what an acid, alkaline and Universal Indicator was. Miss Daly was very impressed that the class remembered the PH scale of water is 7 and that would be a green colour on the Universal Indicator paper.

Ash class were excellent scientists today and learnt that the Universal Indicator paper turned orange when dipped in the sour sweet and hot water mixture, this meant that a sour sweet is an acid. They loved experimenting with the sweets and testing the PH scale. Once again Ash class showed their reciprocity skills when working with their groups.
