In maths this week, Sequoia have started their new unit on geometry. They have been investigating turns, looking at the points of a compass and following directions using key words such as clockwise and anticlockwise.
Today they applied their understanding to find some treasure! They followed a set of instructions carefully, which led them to another set of instructions to follow, which then led them to another set of instructions. Eventually, using points of a compass and turning correctly, they found the treasure following their map - 20 Dojo points each! They were incredibly excited!
"I liked taking the lead in reading the instructions. I helped my friends so that they knew which direction to turn and how many steps to take." Maisy, Sequoia.
Great work today, Sequoia. I wonder if you can make your own treasure maps!
