Our focus in History this term is:Buildings and How has society influenced architecture across the ages? We have been investigating the wonders of Pyramids the last few weeks and on Wednesday the children displayed some fantastic reciprocity as they were challenged with a number of facts which they had to organise into true and false.
After spending a few week investigating and interpreting information about the Egyptians they had to put these skills to good use. Most of the teams worked really well together and rose to the challenge.
Olivia reflected "They didn't use them as houses, they were graves and they put their stuff in them". Well done Olivia, yes indeed the Egyptians believed in an afterlife in which you would take all your items that you owned with you, therefore their treasured belongings were buried with them.
