Today, the children will have received their first set of spellings for the year. This first half term will very much focus on consolidating year three spellings to ensure the children are secure and confident to move forward in their learning.
Teachers will be closely monitoring the children's spelling, not only in their tests but within their classwork. This may mean children will receive some words more than once until we are satisfied they can spell the words within their written work.
Please note, children took a spelling test last week and the results were used to create the spelling groups. These groups are fluid and will change over the coming weeks depending on teacher assessments.
