Year 3 have launched themselves in to learning all about our new topic in Science - light. They worked really hard in groups to discuss, explain and justify when sorting out objects in to two categories - sources of light and not sources of light.
The children showed an excellent initial understanding of light and are very excited to learn more about the topic throughout the spring term.
"Today, I have learnt that the moon is not a source of light, even though it looks like it is at night time, it actually just reflects the sun's light!" - Bonnie Martin, Hazel Class.
"I thought cat's eyes were lights but today I found out that they reflect the light from cars." - Ruben Roberts, Sequoia.
Keep an eye out for more work from our budding scientists in Year 3!
