Year 3 have had another exciting week in science, investigating how light travels. They learnt that light is an energy source and that energy can be transferred to different objects.
They were able to witness this in action with the plasma ball, which illuminated the fluorescent light without even touching it! It's not magic - it's science!
The children then discovered that we can see objects because light travels in a straight line from its light source and then reflects off an object into our eyes!
They also learnt that light can be blocked by opaque objects as it can only travel in a straight line and not bend round the object!
Great investigative work year 3. You are all super scientists!
