This month is Black History Month.
In order to celebrate our schools diverse culture, particularly in Year 3, we celebrated Black History Month with an African Drumming Workshop! It was a great way to get everybody involved through the subject of music - something Year 3 really enjoy.
We also used Art as a way to explore different hairstyles; celebrating black culture and trends.
We have also been having lots of different conversations with the children, including whether they feel represented in our curriculum.
It has been a great way to bring the children together and to get a great discussion going!
Throughout the next few weeks we will be using some of our subjects to explore more about Black history - stay tuned!
