World Space Week - Year 3

In Year Three in Science we have had an afternoon of Space. This years theme for space week is “Satellites Improve life.”

The children have been learning about the British Astronaut Tim Peake. The children pretended to interview Tim Peake and learnt lots of amazing facts about his life.

Aksanan - "Tim Peake was in space for 186 days."

Luke - "Tim Peake was training under water for 12 days."

After the children had completed their questions they learnt about the different types of satellites, what they are used for and the important features of them. The children then created their own satellites, labelling the important parts.

Faizah - "All satellites have a power source."

Lottie - "Satellites can take photos."
