Birch Class Rome around Lullingstone Villa

Along with Ash and Willow, Birch Class had the opportunity to step back in time once more this week. Walking around the ruins of an ancient Roman Villa, year 4 used their skills of enquiry to visualise life around the grand building, and had the opportunity to handle Roman artefacts such as pots and pans, under the guidance of an expert. Birch Class were amazed by her knowledge (Mr Nicol included!) and there are certainly some future historians among us!

'My favourite bit was definitely having the time to use the map to work out where everything used to be,' said Sacha, who demonstrated a huge interest in all things Roman.
