Samira reads a muslim prayer
In Year 4 this term our RE lessons have focussed on Islam. We have explored the nature of Muslim faith, the five pillars of Islam and the practices around Ramandan, Eid-al-Addah and Eid-al-Fitr. Yesterday we took a look at the practices Muslims observe when praying in a Mosque, such as the use of prayer mats and the reading of the Koran in Arabic.
Following on from that session, this morning Ash class were lucky enough to get a lesson from a real expert (move over Mr Lander!) Samira brought in her very own prayer mat and was brave enough to read an Islamic prayer to the class in Arabic! Thank you Samira for taking the time to and having the courage to help bring our learning to life!
